Senior Editor of the Meercat9 News Network. He enjoys writing, and is currently attempting a novel... again. He considers himself a connoisseur of foreign films and instrumental music, particularly orchestral and jazz. He is happiest when debating with the intolerant population of the internet, especially when he wins.

Armando Garcia is a writer and apprentice novelist. He often likes to play video-games when he can break the symbiosis between him and his computer, he also enjoys writing short stories as warm-up and still mourns the loss of his first novel draft to a virus he swore revenge against.

Ben Kelly

The do-nothing slacker member of Subjective Gaming. Bishop of Death. Proud Hufflepuff. When he's not slaving away at his keyboard, his hobbies include eating himself to sleep, and sleep-eating. Also, his fruit killing skills are remarkable! Despite his young age, he shows promise in the field of journalism and eating contests.

Soft, cuddly and what every woman truly wants in her bed. I enjoy a glass of wine, while sitting by the warm fire in my study writing romantic novellas and tending to my garden. My stories can be sexually explicit, but where's the fun if they weren't a little... bare.

Her blog endeavours to steer young people away from "thinspo" and "pro anorexia" type blogs and towards reputable recovery resources.

Gene is an amateur Photograher, an Author and a Graphic Artist, who lives in NSW, Australia. He enjoys removing images of himself from the camera's of friends and family, debating needlessly about proper driving ettiquett, and consuming potato in all its forms. He is still attempting to edit and re-work a novel, and to create a short film. Other interests include; Helmets, Hats, CocaCola and working as a dishwasher.

My name is Molly Allen, and I met Billy through the wondrous site called Tumblr. I tend to have very strong opinions but will always phrase them respectfully and I hope I don't offend anyone. Everything I write is my property and responsibility, and no other authors are liable for my opinions.

Rebecca Cameron

Billy's girlfriend, who so far has begrudgingly agreed once to write one article, to be never heard from again. She keeps rejecting Billy's advances and shooting down all of his attempts... to get articles. If she ever gets the confidence, expect some creative writing from this pretty girl with horrible self esteem.

He reports the hard-hitting truth... of a single creative piece found in my sock drawer over 9 years later. Not sure if trolling, or just a strange, chubby, little boy.

Join Mc9 News: Amateur Journalists Wanted!

So you're interested in writing things and having your voice heard? Excellent, so are we! It's both a great way to drive traffic to the site and give opportunities for young aspiring writers (or just those with a lot of opinions) to be heard on another platform. It's also a good way to build up a more formal portfolio of published works for future job hunting. Authors will retain full credit over their work.

Below is a rough guideline for how it will work - no hidden catch and no costs required on your part. If you're still interested in broadcasting your words to a larger audience through the Meercat9 News Network, send an email to me at billymoffat92@gmail.com to get started!

Your rights

You retain full intellectual property and editorial freedom over your work. This means you are free to take work you have submitted to Meercat9 News (or its subsidiaries) and publish it elsewhere. Keep in mind you may have to refer to other websites/publishers for their policies regarding exclusivity.

Since you aren't being paid, and the main purpose of this is to allow aspiring writers to build a published portfolio and a following, it would be unfair for Meercat9 News to seize the intellectual property. Note there is one key exception to full intellectual property of the author, as discussed below.

Your content will never be modified in any significant manner. The only modifications that will be made to your content are the correction of spelling, grammar or typographical errors. Sometimes paragraphs in news articles will be split/merged for consistency in both text and page layout. It is your responsibility to check articles after they have been put up to ensure you are comfortable with the final result.

Creative pieces will not be modified in any way, so you should proof read your entries thoroughly before submitting.

You are free to change your submissions yourself at any time, and free to add UPDATE paragraphs at the end where applicable. Changes must be approved by an administrator (or moderator) in the same way that the articles themselves should.

Our rights

Meercat9 News retains the right to take down content at any time - though we will endeavour to give a reason when possible. Also, the big exception to your intellectual property, as outlined in the Terms of Service on the homepage, is that you are unable to remove content from the site that you have submitted without permission from a Meercat9 News administrator. This is to safeguard our content archives from being greatly diminished when/if authors decide to leave (whether to move on to other things, or some sort of falling out).

Revenue from ad placement in your articles is currently all going towards server costs and maintenance, and for the foreseeable future this revenue remains 100% the property of Meercat9.com
